After four years of waiting, Brian Robinson is in a position to take his moment.
He returns for a fifth season at the University of Alabama, and Dr. Matt Rhea is preparing him for a monster year. During the Crimson Tide’s offseason program, the Tuscaloosa native is excelling in the weight room. Whether it’s squatting, bench press, power clean, or hang clean, Robinson’s numbers are soaring. He is taking the same approaching Najee Harris did before the 2020 season. According to a graphic from Rhea, the former four-star is serious about becoming the Tide’s primary rusher in the fall.
If you’re going to come back and improve your draft stock, you attack the off-season like B-Rob has. @BrianR_4 never satisfied. #respect pic.twitter.com/01iJtHFt4u

In his career, Robinson has 274 carries for 1,361 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. His six rushing scores last year were a career-high, and it was the second time he totaled 90-plus carries for at least 400 yards. Robinson has the power to be an elite rusher but has he developed the speed?
He has been training with Alabama’s Director of Performance Science, and Dr. Rhea had Harris looking dynamic. The 6-foot-1, 228-pounder turned in strong outings versus Texas A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, and Ohio State in 2020.

He is seeing the first-round NFL Draft conversation Harris has generated; however, Robinson now wants it for himself.
Next season will be all on him.
