The University of Alabama is not just a football school.
On Sunday, Nate Oats and the men’s basketball program defeated Louisiana State University in the Southeastern Conference Tournament to capture its first tournament title since 1991.
The Crimson Tide will enter the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2017-18 season under Avery Johnson, and the football team is very proud. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, Alabama has clinched an SEC title in both football and basketball. Current and former football players took to Twitter to show excitement.
The Tide got an 80-79 victory over the Tigers.
