Alabama running back Trey Sanders has been continuing to work his way back to the football field after coming off of a hip injury that ended his redshirt freshman season.
Sources informed Touchdown Alabama’s Stephen M. Smith that Sanders has been practicing with the team since spring football first began.
Head coach Nick Saban shared in his Friday press conference that Sanders was doing individual work and is still not quite ready to be fully back in action just yet. He did say that he was looking good and going through the proper progressions.
“Trey Sanders is actually doing some work,” Saban said on Friday. “He does some individual work. He’s making really good progress. He can dry-land run now. He’s no 100 percent but he’s getting there, and we’re happy with the progress.”
Sanders suffered his hip injury during a car accident during the Crimson Tide’s BYE Week last season. He rushed for a total of 130 yards on 30 attempts in 2020.
