Alabama football extended an offer to 2022 four-star prospect, DJ Wesolak Wednesday after evaluating him for months.

Wesolak is a product of Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri. He currently holds more than 40 D1 offers, including offers from Clemson, LSU and others. Alabama’s outside linebacker coach Sal Sunseri and the Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach informed Weslake of his offer.
The Missouri product said he feels every aspiring college football player sees Alabama as an elite program.
“It was a blessing,” Wesolak told Touchdown Alabama when discussing his offer from Alabama. “Every kid that wants to play football at the next level sees Alabama as the No.1 school. They win ball games. They consistently develop college football players who do not make mistakes.”
The Crimson Tide’s coaching staff is interested in playing Wesolak at outside linebacker. This position serves as an edge rusher and defender within Alabama’s defense. Alabama usually likes to play long and physical players at this position which is why they like Wesolak.
“I am a really long pass rusher,” Wesolak said. “I am almost 6-6 and weighs 235 pounds. They love my weight and my height. They think I can do amazing things off the edge and love how fast I can get off the ball and get to the quarterback.”
Boone allows Wesolak to get after the football from different spots along the defensive line. He causes disruption with a quick first step and tends to go after the football when making tackles. The four-star recruit is also really impressive in space.

Several 2022 prospects have begun locking in official visit dates. Wesolak has not done so yet, but he does plan on releasing a top school list soon.
“I am in the process of cutting schools off,” Wesolak said. “I am not going to waste my time, and I do not want to waste theirs. I want to eventually drop a top school list next month. I know Alabama will be in there.”
