The beat of “Championship School” marches on for the University of Alabama.
Nick Saban and the football program got the ball rolling with an SEC and College Football Playoff National Championship.
Since then, men’s basketball and gymnastics have captured SEC titles. This weekend, Patrick Murphy and the Crimson Tide’s softball team joined the party. Montana Fouts pitched a gem against Florida in the SEC Championship Game, and Alabama put four runs on the board.
Fouts ended with 11 strikeouts, and the Tide earned a 4-0 victory at Rhoads Stadium.
A few former football standouts, Jordan Battle, Christopher Allen, Drew Svoboda (special teams coach), and the Alabama football social media reacted with joy on Twitter.
