Two wide receivers are fighting for recognition in a talented yet unproven room for Alabama football.
Traeshon Holden and Javon Baker both came in the Crimson Tide’s 2020 signing class.

The two were four-star athletes with length, athleticism, and competitive fire. Both want to dominate college football as sophomores; however, which one will take the first step?
Holden, a native of Kissimmee, Fla., showed fans what he provides during Alabama’s spring game.
As the roommate of Bryce Young, Holden led the first-team receivers with 89 yards on nine receptions. He was targeted 14 times and averaged 9.9 yards per catch, including a long grab of 32 yards from Young.
Holden displayed a lot of explosiveness and caught much attention. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder saw action in five games last season but did not record any stats. He played at St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.), until his final prep season where he transferred to Narbonne High School (Harbor City, Calif.). In his lone year at Narbonne, Holden totaled 31 catches for 512 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.
He chose to sign with Alabama over Clemson, Florida, Oregon, and USC. Holden wants to become an elite playmaker, and he posted on Twitter that he is prepared to make everyone feel him in the coming fall.

The Tide has a young group of receivers, so now is the time for a new face to emerge.
Holden appears to be ready to take his game to the next level.
