The best teams Nick Saban has had at Alabama were those who bonded together off the field.
This year’s group seems to have the chemistry, especially in the defensive secondary.
Despite losing Patrick Surtain II to the National Football League, the return of the “No Fly Zone” will be in effect. During Memorial Day weekend, Malachi Moore, Brian Branch, and Kristian Story bonded over a game of hoops. Moore, a sophomore, scored the lone bucket in a video posted to Twitter; however, the trio had fun together. Moore and Branch played a lot as true freshmen, and both helped the Crimson Tide secure an undefeated national championship season.
Story came in the same class, and he looks forward to more playing time.

Alabama graduated a lot of experience on offense to the NFL Draft, so it will lean on its defense to set the tone. After spending time with Nick Saban on Lake Tuscaloosa, it is good to see the young secondary hanging out together.
When one studies the Tide’s 2009, 2011, 2015, and 2017 championship teams on defense, the main ingredient was the closeness everyone had.

It is going to be very exciting to watch this team in the fall.
