Nick Saban extended an offer to 2023 wide receiver, Nathaniel Joseph during the rising junior’s visit to Tuscaloosa Saturday.
Joseph is a product of Miami Edison High School in Miami, Florida. Alabama is the 28th D1 program to offer him. The explosive wide receiver said he felt the Tide’s offer was proof the work he had put in was paying off.
“I was very excited,” Joseph said. “I am just blessed that all my hard work is paying off.”
Saban informed Joseph of his offer during a meeting in his office. The-seven time National Championship winning coach told the Florida product he reminded him of one of Alabama’s recent first-round draft picks.
“He said he liked my great hands, my ability to run after the catch and my toughness,” said Joseph. “He also said he liked that I can play on special teams and compared me to Jaylen Waddle.”
Joseph currently stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs approximately 165 pounds. Waddle came out of high school with a similar frame at 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. Both wide receivers are dangerous with the football in their hands and can change direction without slowing down.
