The Crimson Tide are the 12th D1 program to offer Hardy. He has received five offers since June 1. Alabama’s defensive back coach and Texas area recruiter Jay Valai informed The Lewisville, Texas product of his offer.
“It felt great to get an offer from a childhood dream school,” Hardy said. “The standard at Alabama is elite. I would love to have a chance to compete at the highest level of football.”
Nick Saban got an opportunity to have a quick conversation with the 2024 prospect during his visit.
“It was amazing to have some one-on-one one time with coach Saban,” said Hardy. “It was not long but it is definitely a day I will remember.”
Valai will play a huge role in Alabama recruiting Hardy moving forward. Their relationship looks to be off to a good start.
“He is a great coach,” Hardy told Touchdown Alabama. “I would love to work with him, and I am happy to finally meet him.”
Hardy currently stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 175 pounds. The freshman was an active member of Lewisville’s defense last season. He made it difficult for quarterbacks to go over the top and came up big in run support by flying downhill to make tackles.
Hardy’s recruitment is just getting underway and it has a long way to go. The Crimson Tide will have an opportunity to continue building their relationship with the rising sophomore for several years.
