Keylan Moses is walking a similar path to his older brother Dylan as the 8th grader pulled in an offer from Alabama Monday after working out in front of the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff.
The Tide are the fourth program to offer the Baton Rouge, Louisiana product. LSU was the first program to extend an offer to him earlier this month. Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State have also offered the rising freshman.
Alabama’s defensive coordinator and Louisiana native Pete Golding informed Keylan of his offer from Alabama.
“I was really happy when I found out,” Keylan Moses said. ” “There are not many people who can say they are doing what I am doing at my age. I was blessed at the moment. I can still feel the excitement from yesterday.”
With his older brother spending four years with Alabama football, Keylan is very familiar with the program.
“I love it,” said Keylan. “It is all hard work, and it is a great environment to be around when you are looking for greatness.”
Dylan Moses was a leader on Alabama’s National Championship-winning defense last season. He finished the year with 76 total tackles after missing his entire junior season with an ACL injury. Keylan said he is still taking in the fact that he has an opportunity to follow in his older brother’s footsteps and play for Alabama.
“I have no idea how it would feel right now,” Keylan said. “But it is still crazy that I have the chance to do that.”
Keylan worked out as a linebacker in Tuscaloosa Monday. Alabama coaches walked away impressed with his mobility 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds.
“They like how fluid I move and how great I communicate,” Moses said.

Keylan has four years of high school football ahead of him, which means he will get a lot better and his offer list will get even longer.
