Jalen Hurts was a weight-lifting phenom from Texas, and now the Crimson Tide has Jalen Milroe.

As a four-star via Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas, Milroe is incredibly strong. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 201 pounds, the true freshman is having a great offseason program. He recorded 3,825 passing yards, 559 rushing yards, and 53 total touchdowns in his high school career. Milroe arrived as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation, and Tide fans are interested to see how much playing time he could get. Nick Saban has spoken on his leadership, accuracy, and potential to be a complete player.

During a workout period, Milroe squatted over 500 pounds with speed. He exploded through each rep, and the room erupted.

Hurts showed he was the best quarterback for the job in 2016 as a freshman. Milroe has a bigger challenge as Bryce Young and Paul Tyson are not giving an inch; nevertheless, the native Texan is pushing hard. If he performs well throughout fall camp, it will be difficult for the coaching staff to redshirt the freshman. Alabama has a good problem on its hands at the quarterback position.
