When speaking to the media on Sunday, Alabama head coach Nick Saban provided a few injury updates on his team. One major update from Saban was on senior defensive lineman LaBryan Ray who will be missing time once again heading into fall camp.

“LaBryan Ray has a pretty significant groin injury that he got toward the end of the summer that will keep him out a couple weeks,” Saban said.

Ray has had an injury riddled career with the Crimson Tide dating back to 2019 where he missed most of the season with a foot injury.

In 2020 Ray played in just seven games while dealing with a nagging elbow injury which kept his playing time inconsistent.

“Hopefully, we’ll get him back and he’ll be confident in his ability to play,” Saban said. “We’ll just have to wait and see day-to-day how that goes.”

This post will be updated.
