It was a short lived partnership which came to an end on Monday.
The Las Vegas Raiders announced a their roster transactions cutting the team down to the 85 player limit.
On the list of waived players was former Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough.
Scarbrough was signed by the Raiders at the start of August as training camp had just begun. The Raider’s already posted a deep running backs room which already includes two former members of the Crimson Tide in Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake.
The Eutaw, AL., native began his career back in 2018 when he was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. He did not make the team and was eventually released where he then moved on to have short stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks before landing with the Detroit Lions where he was the most impactful.
In his six games in Detroit Scarbrough carried the ball 89 times for 377 yards and one touchdown. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep him on the team as Scarbough hit the open market once again and ended up going back to Seattle where he appeared in one game.
In his only preseason appearance with the Raiders Scarbrough carried the ball four times for 10 yards in the team’s 20-7 win over the Seahawks last Saturday.
