One cannot discuss the top running backs in the National Football League and not start with Derrick Henry.
He has terrorized defenses since high school and has not stopped. Many did not believe his style would translate to the pros; however, he’s become the most respected player at his craft.
The 6-foot-3, 247-pounder was ranked No. 4 on the NFL’s Top 100 Players for 2021. In a list voted on by the players, they say Henry ‘puts fear in other men’s hearts.’ No one wants to hit a 250-pound back that comes at you with 4.52-40 speed. His stiff arm knocks defenders into the next dimension while his legs drive tacklers into the ground. Since 2018, Henry has rushed for 1,000+ yards three times. He is a two-time NFL rushing champion and became the eighth player in league history to total 2,000 yards rushing.
Henry recorded 2,027 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns on 378 carries in 2020. The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner had ten 100-yard games, including three 200-yard performances.

He embarrassed the defensive fronts of the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
