After releasing the week one depth chart to the media, Nick Saban spoke about what makes Earle a standout player at the position. He said the four-star had a ‘very good’ preseason camp and is excited to see him play.
“He’s is very fast. He’s a consistent catcher and is a good route runner,” Saban said of Earle.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder was a special athlete at Aledo High School. He juggled both football and track, helping the football team win two Texas 5A Division-II state championships in 2018 and 2019. Earle dominated fall camp with his routes, hands, speed, and explosive plays.
We have seen Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, DeVonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle have success as true freshmen. Now, Earle will have his moment in the spotlight.
It will be fun watching him versus Miami.
