One of Alabama’s cornerbacks was banged up in the final week of fall camp, but he will play versus Miami.
Jalyn Armour-Davis, a redshirt junior, won the starting job at corner opposite Josh Jobe. He fended off freshman Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry and looks to show Crimson Tide fans his skill set. A native of Mobile, Ala., Armour-Davis performed well during spring practice and through preseason practice. The 6-foot-2, 192-pounder recorded three pass breakups on A-Day, but he’s looking forward to shutting down receivers in college football. He has played in 17 career games, but mainly on special teams.
When he was being recruited to Alabama in 2018, Nick Saban liked the length, athleticism, size, ball skills, and instincts that Armour-Davis possessed. During Wednesday’s presser, Saban said the four-year veteran is looking forward to playing.

“He’s doing great,” Saban said of Armour-Davis. “He’s really good, 100 percent, and no problems.”
He battled an injury that forced him to redshirt his freshman year, but Armour-Davis dug himself up. His moment comes on Saturday versus Miami to open the season, and Tide fans are excited to see how he performs.
