Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Mercer Bears Score Predictions

Bryce Young searches for an open receiver vs Miami

Kickoff is set for 3 CST. The game will be broadcasted live on the SEC Network.

The staff at Touchdown Alabama provide their predictions and analysis of the game.

STEPHEN M. SMITH / SENIOR REPORTER

Alabama 51 – Mercer 0

Key Insight: “Nick Saban challenged his team this week to play with intensity for 60 minutes. Expect the offense to be efficient and young players getting opportunities. Defense must play assignment football against the wishbone and win one-on-one battles.

JUSTIN SMITH / SCOUTING/RECRUITING ANALYST

Alabama 52 – Mercer 3

Key Insight: “Alabama football’s defense will have to show discipline against an unconventional Mercer offense. The Bears could limit Alabama’s offensive opportunities early in the game by extending drives. Expect Alabama’s offense to come out on fire with Bryce Young leading the way. Young should be able to make some plays with his arm and his legs. The Crimson Tide’s younger players should have an opportunity to shine during this matchup. Look out for some of the Tide’s new faces.”

PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER

Alabama 55 – Mercer 6

Alabama’s will win in a blowout. Don’t think anyone’s questioning that. But fans should be looking forward to see what Nick Saban does at outside linebacker to replace Christopher Allen. It’ll also be great to see Bryant-Denny Stadium full once again.”
