Social media had too much fun after Wednesday’s player interviews for Alabama football.

Jordan Battle, a junior safety for the Crimson Tide, was asked about his favorite Nick Saban quote or statement. The South Florida native responded with ‘touch deez’ or ‘suck on deez.’

Alabama’s communication staff in the athletic department wanted to redirect him to something else, but it was too late. Several videos hit Twitter as Saban’s sense of humor went viral on the internet.

Nick Saban jokingly says "SUCK ON DEEZ" to his players 😂

Marlon Humphrey, a former Alabama cornerback, has been credited for the joke.

He shouted out Battle during player interviews for the Baltimore Ravens but said he would not have said it to the media. However, Coach Saban takes jokes in good fun.

He appeared to not be upset at his radio show on Thursday as he addressed the situation.

“It’s up to anybody’s imagination what ‘this is,’ what ‘these are,’ Saban said jokingly. “So it’s whatever you think it is. Now, if you think it’s something bad, then it’s something bad, aight, but it doesn’t have to be anything bad.”

At 69 years old, the seven-time national champion likes to keep things loose with his players.

Will we see Battle speak to reporters again? Probably not, but at least Saban took it well.
