Alabama 38– Ole Miss Miss 28

Key Insight: “This is an opportunity for Bill O’Brien and Bryce Young to show how explosive Alabama’s offense is. We have heard all week about Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss, but this O’Brien’s moment. Look for the Crimson Tide to open the playbook more. Defensively, the Tide needs a few stops. It must win on third down and create a couple of turnovers.”

Alabama 41 – Ole Miss 28

Key Insight: “This game will be determined by the play of the defense for both squads. Both Ole Miss and Alabama have offenses that have the potential to put up big numbers. Each defense will have to make it a priority to get off of the field on third down. The Crimson Tide forcing Ole Miss to resort to field goals in the second half of last year’s game was huge for them. Pete Golding and the Tide defense will have to take a bend but do not break approach when going up against the offensive guru in Lane Kiffin.”

PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER

Alabama 51 – Ole Miss 41

Key Insight: “This game has been circled on both teams’ calendars since the conclusion of the last season and with good reason. Alabama welcomes Ole Miss into Bryant Denny-Stadium in a game that will have massive implications for the SEC West representative. Lane Kiffin and quarterback Matt Corral know what it takes to hand with the Crimson Tide and will prove to be a difficult machine for Pete Goldings defense to slow down. But Alabama has remembered that narrow win from a season ago and will make the necessary adjustments to come out on top in front of its home crowd.”
