Alabama’s game against Ole Miss last season left a mark on the Crimson Tide that which it didn’t only carry throughout the rest of that season but until its rematch today.

After surrendering over 600 yards of total offense in 2020, Alabama came out and sent a message today with a dominating performance on both sides of the football. The defense set the tone for the game during the first half when the aggressive Rebels offense went for it on fourth down on its first possession of the game.

The Crimson Tide front didn’t budge though, as it halted the run attempt for no gain giving the Alabama offense the extra momentum.

In the first half, Pete Golding’s unit forced Ole Miss into three turnovers on downs along with one punt, one fumble and no points after two quarters.

On the other side of the ball, running back Brian Robinson took care of business up front as he returned from missing last week’s game with an impressive performance. Robinson rushed for a career-best four touchdowns on the day as the Crimson Tide offensive line dominated upfront.

Lane Kiffin would get his offense going a bit in the second half with a pair of touchdown drives along with an interception from Bryce Young. But stopping the Alabama run game was a task much too large to ask as it shaved off large chunks of the game clock every time it got the ball back.

Alabama now advances to 5-0 on the season and head coach Nick Saban is 24-0 against his former assistants.
