STEPHEN M. SMITH / SENIOR REPORTER
Alabama 45 – LSU 14
Key Insight: “Despite having a lot of injuries, LSU will give Alabama a physical game. Tigers’ QB Max Johnson will try to attack the Crimson Tide’s defensive secondary with big plays. Alabama’s depth and talent will pull away in the second half. The Tide will make a defensive statement in this game with multiple sacks and at least three turnovers. Look for a big rushing performance from Brian Robinson too.”
JUSTIN SMITH / SCOUTING/RECRUITING ANALYST
Alabama 49 – LSU 21
Key Insight: “Alabama is coming off of a BYE week and its defense should benefit from the time off. However, the Crimson Tide will most likely not rely on their defense to win this one as their offense should be able to outpace the Tigers. LSU are dealing with multiple injuries, including an injury to their star wide receiver, Kayshon Boutte. This game will serve as a good test for Alabama’s defensive front as the Tigers have shown they can have success on the ground. I expect LSU to have some success here and there on offense, but Alabama’s offense will be too much to overcome.”
PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER
Alabama 51 – LSU17
Key Insight: “Alabama has had a great deal of success coming out of bye weeks and it will continue today against LSU. The Tigers will be missing over half its defense today which is a recipe for disaster against a Crimson Tide offense who’s getting more and more well rounded on offense. Coach O’s final game coaching in Bryant-Denny Stadium won’t be one he remembers fondly.”
