John Methie Karate Kid touchdown celebration challenge starts new movement

Alabama wide receiver John Metchie Iii

Alabama football’s junior wide receiver, John Metchie has started a movement with his karate-influenced celebration.

Not only are his fellow teammates getting involved in the fun, but opposing players are using the celebration to mock the Crimson Tide. Other University of Alabama athletes have also joined the trend and so have former Alabama football players. Quinnen Williams recently did the celebration after he made a big play for the New York Jets.

Alabama fans and students at the University of Alabama have embraced the movement. Take a look at the TikTok Video Touchdown Alabama created of Alabama fans and students performing Metchie’s celebration.
