Governor Kay Ivey congratulates Alabama for winning SEC Championship

Alabama’s victory in the SEC Championship was so huge the governor wanted to be involved.

Kay Ivey, the 54th Governor of Alabama, congratulated Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide on being champions of the Southeastern Conference. Alabama dominated Georgia, 41-24, in Atlanta to capture its eighth SEC title under Saban.

The Tide is in the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed.

Alabama will face Cincinnati in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
