Alabama’s four-star wide receiver commit, Kobe Prentice is in a prime position to turn some heads at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game and the practices ahead of it this week.
Prentice is one of two Alabama commits who will participate in this year’s event. He will go up against his future teammate and four-star defensive lineman, Jaheim Oatis in Saturday’s game. The Calera, Alabama product said he is ready to go up against some of the best prospects inside the state of Alabama and Mississippi.
“I am really excited to go play the game Saturday and have four days of good practices,” Prentice said at the beginning of the week. “There is a lot of competition so I am excited for everything.”
The Alabama commit has stood out through three practices with his explosive speed, ability to create separation and impressive footwork. He has primarily lined up at the slot wide receiver position and is expected to get an opportunity to pull in some catches all over the field.

Prentice has been verbally committed to Alabama since July. He officially visited the Tide last month when the Crimson Tide took on the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Alabama pledge described the visit as unmatched.
“It went well,” said Prentice. “It was the best visit I ever went on. I had a whole lot of fun. I have been there a lot this season, so nothing really stood out with me growing up an Alabama fan.”
The four-star recruit was one of the most explosive players in high school football this season. He finished his senior season with 1,229 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. Prentice said he feels he has become more consistent as a pass-catcher.
“I have been working on my hands the most and my route running,” said Prentice.
