4-Star WR Shazz Preston signs NLI to play football at the University of Alabama

Shazz Preston poses with Alabama turnover belt during visit

Shazz Preston decided to sign a National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Alabama Wednesday over offers from LSU, Texas and others.

Preston is rated as a four-star wide receiver out of St. James High School in Louisiana. The Crimson Tide have hosted the Louisiana product several times over the last few months. Alabama was the last program to host Preston ahead of National Signing Day last weekend. His dad, Shawn Preston described the visit as very informative.

“The visit was fun and informative,” Shawn Preston said. “Watching the Heisman ceremony in the facility was nice. Mrs. Terry and coach Saban make a great team.”

Preston stands at 6-foot and 190 pounds. He is one of the most physical wide receivers in the 2022 recruiting class. He possesses a thick frame and can box out defenders for 50/50 balls and can be used as a redzone threat.
