Nick Saban provides critical Agiye Hall update at wide receiver

Agiye Hall (#84) going through drills in practice for Alabama

Could a College Football Playoff meeting versus Cincinnati be the moment for Agiye Hall?

Alabama fans have been anticipating the five-star freshman to have an impact. He was stellar in the spring game at wide receiver, catching four passes for 72 yards. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder has the potential to be one of the best receivers to come through the University of Alabama, but will he take advantage of an opportunity? Nick Saban provided a critical update on Hall during Monday’s presser as the Crimson Tide prepares for the Bearcats. He is liking what he’s seeing from the receiver thus far.

“Agiye Hall has been making some good plays,” Saban said of the freshman in practice.

Saban mentioned Hall as one of the few receivers looking forward to an opportunity to help the team. Alabama will not have John Metchie (knee) in the playoff, and someone must emerge to help Jameson Williams. Hall possesses the size, hands, routes, and playmaking abilities to explode in big moments. He has a chance to show Tide fans what they’ve been wanting since A-Day.
