Texas A&M finished at 8-4 in its fourth season under Jimbo Fisher.
The Aggies did not win an SEC Championship, and it’s not in the College Football Playoff.
However, the school earned its first victory over the University of Alabama since 2012. Texas A&M defeated the Crimson Tide, 41-38, at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. Coach Fisher made good on his promise to the people at the Houston Touchdown Club. DeMarvin Leal, a defensive lineman for the Aggies, totaled seven tackles in the matchup. In an interview with Tailgate, the junior said ‘he had dreams of beating Alabama.’ Despite the victory coming by three points, Leal’s dream became a reality on the national stage in the SEC.

As a four-star in the 2019 signing class, Hellams is going after a second straight national championship. Other schools are concerned with beating the Tide, but the men of crimson pursue championship rings. Hellams reminded Leal of it via Twitter.
