Tempers flared on the sidelines of Sunday night’s matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Football Team.
After a frustrating sequence of events for the Football Team, two of their top defenders and former Alabama players Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne exchanged words on the sidelines and ended with Allen throwing a punch at Payne.
Following the event the NFL world took to social media and shared their thoughts on the act:
I can't remember one helmetless teammate slugging another helmetless teammate while on the bench. Looked like Jonathan Allen hit his Alabama teammate Daron Payne pretty hard – but maybe the blow wasn't flush. Payne seems OK. It has come to this for the Washington defense.
