As long as you wear crimson and white you aren’t safe from a potential Nick Saban “ass-chewing”, not even if you’re his defensive coordinator.

Alabama defensive coordinator has been on the wrong end of Saban’s sideline rants dating all the way back to when he was first promoted in 2019.

On Wednesday during his media availability period, Golding was asked if Saban has eased up a bit on some of his “ass-chewings” this season. Golding gave an emphatic answer putting all speculation to rest.

“Absolutely not accurate,” Golding said.

Although Saban hasn’t gotten softer in his old age, Golding still appreciates the fact that he always knows where he stands and gets feedback on the job.

I think – obviously whatever you do here, Coach is going to make sure you do it to the best of your ability,” Golding said. “You do it the way he sees fit, which I enjoy. I think as a player, as a coach, you always want to know what can I do better, how can I improve. I think a lot of times whoever you work for, whatever profession you’re in sometimes you don’t get that, you don’t get the feedback back and you don’t know.

“The good thing about him is it’s black and white and you’re going to know.”
