Tua Tagovailoa did not make the playoffs, but he accomplished something big Sunday for Miami.
He is now 3-0 in his career versus Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Tagovailoa defeated his former Alabama teammate, Mac Jones, 33-24 at Hard Rock Stadium. His performance was not dominant, but Tagovailoa completed 15 of 22 passes for 109 with one touchdown. He did not turn the ball over, and Tagovailoa posted 38 yards rushing on five carries.
He put the game away with a first-down run late in the fourth quarter. Miami started the season with a seven-game losing streak.

Tagovailoa helped it win seven straight, despite dealing with fractured ribs. Will the Dolphins continue to build around him?
We shall see what Brian Flores and Chris Grier do in the offseason. Dolphin fans and the NFL world were proud to see Tagovailoa lead Miami to a marquee win.

Tua rides off into the sunset with a clutch run. I don’t think he’ll be back with the Dolphins, but I hope he succeeds somewhere. Great person, impossible to hate Tua Tagovailoa.
