Could Alabama get another wide receiver from the NCAA transfer portal?

After winning a national championship, Jermaine Burton has decided to leave Georgia. He entered the portal today, and a few athletes from other schools are trying to recruit him on social media. Burton, a California native, is a talented receiver.

The 6-foot, 200-pounder totaled 53 catches for 901 yards and eight touchdowns in two years with the Bulldogs.

He recorded 26 receptions for 497 receiving yards and five scores in 2021. Traeshon Holden, a California native, is jokingly trying to get Burton to come to the Crimson Tide. He quote tweeted Burton’s post with: “Call me real quick lemme talk to you.”

If the Tide was to land Burton, it would have three California natives on offense. Bryce Young hails from the west coast and is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Holden is from the west coast and Burton is too. It will be interesting to see where he goes.

Alabama had a lot of success with Jameson Williams out of the portal. We shall see if it pulls Burton.
