Craver currently attends Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama. The Crimson Tide are the fifth D1 program to offer the sophomore, and he said he almost got emotional when he was notified of his offer.
“I was very very excited, and I started to get a little emotional,” Craver said. “Alabama is by far the best program I have been to. It seems like they take better care of their players than they do themselves. The facilities were definitely top-notch as well.”
The 2024 prospect grew up watching Alabama football have a ton of success under Nick Saban. He sees the opportunity to play under the Alabama head coach in the future as a special one.
“It is a very special opportunity for me and my family,” Craver said. “I will make the best of it if I choose to go there in the future.”
At 5-foot-10 and 168 pounds, Craver has the frame of a slot wide receiver. The Tide have placed some talented players at that position in the past, and Craver feels he could thrive in their high-powered offensive scheme.
“I love it, and I could definitely see myself in that offense,” said Craver.
Clay-Chalkville was able to win the 2021 6A State Championship thanks to the play of Craver and multiple highly-touted prospects, including new Alabama target, Jaylen Mbakwe. Craver finished the year with 46 receptions for 937 yards and ten touchdowns. He displayed an ability to create separation with his elite speed when running routes and when running the football in the open field.
