The reason why Alabama keeping Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding is a good thing

Alabama fans have their thoughts about Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding, but Nick Saban is keeping both coaches.

The Crimson Tide made it to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in their first year together, and it came close to capturing a national title against Georgia. Some want both gone or at least one to go elsewhere, but good things have happened for the Tide when Saban has kept the same offensive and defensive coordinator for multiple seasons.

He won national championships when he kept Jim McElwain and Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffin and Smart, and Steve Sarkisian and Golding together in year two. Alabama enters year two in the fall with O’Brien and Golding. The Tide is talented across the board and should be able to return to the CFP National Championship stage. On Wednesday, Stephen M. Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine explained via In My Own Words why it is a good thing for Coach Saban to have O’Brien and Golding together again.

Golding & O'Brien are staying, but it may be a good thing
