Rhea and Ballou joined Alabama’s staff in March of 2020 after two years at Indiana University. Nick Saban has praised both for the work they have done at the University of Alabama in the past. Saban said their contributions have help cut down the amount of ‘soft-tissue injuries’ Tide players suffered by 50 percent.
“We have had a lot less soft tissue injuries now than in the past,” Saban said. “These guys have done a great job.”
Nick Saban said soft tissue injuries were down 50% because of David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea last season.
"We bought into what they do."- Saban said
Saban said the team eliminated all old-school testing because of the technology both guys brought in.
