Teams will need to wait a bit longer to see the potential top offensive lineman work out for this year’s upcoming NFL Draft.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal will not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine this week as he will wait until his Pro Day on March 30 to show teams what he can do. Rapoport highlighted that Alabama’s run into the postseason was a factor in his decision to take a few more weeks to prepare.

Neal is widely considered to be the best offensive lineman prospect in his upcoming draft class with many experts slating him as the first lineman off the board.
But there has been a recent push in many mock drafts, that has Neal being taken with the No. 1 overall pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The thought process has been that instead of opting to take a pass rusher as the top selection, Jacksonville will look to protect its quarterback of the future in former No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence who was sacked 32 times during his first season as the full-time starter.
