Kendrick Law, a four-star, joins Aaron Anderson (five-star) as a spring enrollee. He came to the University of Alabama as an athlete, but the Tide has him at receiver. Both freshmen hail from Louisiana, but Law can play multiple positions on the field.
The 5-foot-11, 193-pounder mesmerized fans at Captain Shreve High School (Shreveport, La.) with his abilities. Law played receiver, free safety, running back, and return specialist. He possessed speed, quickness, vision, shiftiness, agility, and contact balance. A big play happened when he got the ball. Law’s ability to block is an underrated quality.
He showed his willingness to size up opponents and spring his teammates downfield for touchdowns.
Nick Saban sees Law as a potential impact player on this team. On Wednesday, he highlighted Law’s mindset and development.

“He has done a nice job,” Saban said about Law. “He’s done a good job at wide receiver. He’s got some speed and size. He runs good routes, has good hands, and has the right mindset to deal with some of the frustration that young players go through. They are trying to learn a system and making more mistakes than they are used to. He plays through it, and he’s made a lot of plays. I think he’s a guy that can help us if he continues to develop.”
Law is quickly picking up concepts in practice. His willingness to block resembles former Alabama standout, DeVonta Smith. Law’s ability to make big plays is similar to the exceptional players to come through the program.
He can be a dynamic asset for Alabama.
