Central Phenix City DB Jayden Coleman enjoys in-depth look at Alabama football

Jayden Coleman wants to get back to Tuscaloosa after visiting Alabama football Wednesday.

Coleman currently attends Central Phenix City High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He holds 13 D1 offers, including offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas and Penn State. The 2024 defensive back said he enjoyed watching Alabama’s practice and sitting in on their position group meeting during his latest visit.

“I visited the facilities, and I got to talk with coach Saban, coach Kelly and coach Wimberly,” Coleman told Touchdown Alabama. “I also did the team meeting with the coaches and players. I like how fast it was when the coaches were talking about the playbook and formations. They went over about 50 plays in five minutes. The practice was very fast-paced, a lot of moving parts. I like the fact that everyone got reps and no one was left standing around.”

Saban caught up with Coleman during his visit to Tuscaloosa Wednesday.

“Coach Nick Saban is very down to earth,” Coleman said. “He loves his players and recruits. My family and I enjoyed conversing with him. He is the G.O.A.T. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the game. It is a blessing to those that get to be coached by him.”

Coleman is listed at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds on Central Phenix City’s roster. He started at cornerback for the Red Devils last season, and he displayed some impressive coverage skills and an ability to help in run support.

“Coach Kelly and coach Wimberly really liked my film,” said Coleman. “I am looking forward to building a relationship with them both.”
