The No. 1 hot take sports personality in national media is back with another one.

Skip Bayless, one-half of Fox Sports One’s Undisputed, is the king of crazy hot takes.

A few have been accurate, but most have had sports fans scratching their heads in disbelief.

He is entertaining nonetheless, and Bayless decided to go after New England Patriots’ quarterback Mac Jones in his latest statement. Jones is looking to improve after setting rookie franchise records in 2021. As a native of Jacksonville, Fla., he is doing his offseason work in Tampa. Jones has often been compared to seven-time Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady. The two have similar high school journeys, college stories, and NFL Draft process stories. Bill Belichick moved on from the Brady era in New England by taking Jones in the first round of the 2021 draft. In his debate with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless said Jones’ decision to work out in Tampa means he’s taking a shot at Brady. Sharpe wholeheartedly disagrees, but Bayless’ rhetoric is hysterical.

“Mac Jones grew up in Jacksonville, why not go home?” Bayless asked Sharpe about Jones’ working out in Tampa. “Why not go to Orlando or Fort Meyers or Miami or Key West? This was outrageous. This took some football. This was young Mac Jones sending a message to Tom Brady, basically saying ‘I am coming for you, GOAT.’ Your town is now my town. I’m here to show you I am coming for you. I am going to eclipse you.”

Sharpe sees Bayless’ argument as pointless, as Jones is trying to get better with his receivers. He brought up Russell Wilson working out in Florida, but Bayless said Wilson is a ‘made man.’ Sharpe believes Jones will become a made man, and Bayless immediately wanted him to wager on that. This has not been the first time Bayless has been against former Alabama players.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but Jones is on a mission to be the best in the league.
