Mac Jones wants to be the best young quarterback in the National Football League.

Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft invested in him by taking him 15th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Jones rewarded the Patriots by becoming the best rookie quarterback in his draft class. He led all rookies for passing yards, touchdown passes, completion percentage, and passer rating. Jones also set franchise rookie marks for passing yards (3,801) and touchdowns (22).

He guided New England to the playoffs at 10-7 after the team missed the postseason in 2020. Jones is about getting better, and he took his receivers to work out in Tampa, Fla. He posted a video to Instagram of him executing several routes to receivers.

Jones trained on slant passes, crossing routes, timing patterns, and worked on connecting with receivers. He’s gotten his body in better shape for his second season in the pros. Jones appears to be leaner and putting on muscle. The two-time national champion has often been compared to Tom Brady. Jones is trying to make his mark on the game, and it’s going well.

New England got DeVante Parker from Miami, but it looks to put more talent around Jones in the draft.
