Tua Tagovailoa is very excited about his third season with the Miami Dolphins.
He’s turned the page on the Brian Flores era and is building a connection with Mike McDaniel. The former Alabama quarterback does not feel pressured to perform well this year, but he wants the opportunity to silence his critics. McDaniel and the front office made Tagovailoa a priority this offseason in getting him several offensive targets.
He’s getting reps in with new Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, but Tagovailoa likes the culture McDaniel is creating in South Florida. Tagovailoa said McDaniel’s system is ‘similar to what he had at Alabama.’ He won a College Football Playoff National Championship with the Crimson Tide in 2017.
Tagovailoa raved to reporters about the relationship he has with McDaniel. He called it ‘super cool’ and said ‘to have the support of the head guy should tell you a lot.’ McDaniel assured Tagovailoa he would make into a star in the National Football League.
Miami looks for big things in the fall, and Tagovailoa is set for a massive jump in production.
