Despite graduating from the school’s biggest rival, Charles Barkley has been a big supporter of Nick Saban.
Barkley, who played basketball for Auburn, refers to many of Saban’s famous sayings and attempted to reference one during Inside the NBA on Tuesday during the playoff game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Before he started to quote Saban, Shaquille O’Neal attempted to finish the quote along with Barkley and instead hilariously butchered the saying.
The quote the two were trying to reference actually says, “Play with emotion, but don’t be emotional.”
It is amongst Saban’s famous quotes that he uses on every team ahead of big games. Although Shaq and Chuck couldn’t quite make it out at the moment the two eventually circled back around and made the point.
