Jermaine Burton helped the Georgia Bulldogs win a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2021 and performed well in spring practice for Alabama as a transfer wide receiver.

He eyes an opportunity at another national title, but will Burton gain something more?

According to Pro Football Focus, he is one of seven players listed as the biggest breakout stars for college football this season by position. Burton played 14 games for the Bulldogs last year, totaling 26 receptions for 497 yards and five touchdowns. He caught 27 passes in 2020 for 404 receiving yards and three scores. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder was responsible for 901 yards and eight touchdowns on 53 catches in 24 games. Nick Saban consistently highlighted Burton as an impact player during spring practice.

He possesses the chemistry with Bryce Young as the junior quarterback targeted Burton a lot on A-Day.

Alabama has several receivers back on offense, but Burton has the hands, routes, speed, explosive playmaking skills, and separation on routes to be highly successful. It took Jameson Williams one year to take the Southeastern Conference by storm.

Burton expects the coming fall to be his moment.
