Patrick Surtain II is expecting big things from the Denver Broncos defense in the fall.
He was one of six Alabama football alums taken in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Surtain had an impressive first season in the National Football League, making Pro Football Writers Association’s All-Rookie Team. He finished tied for third on Denver’s defense for total tackles (58) and carried a team-high 14 pass deflections. Surtain picked off four passes, including one for a touchdown. He is excited to have Russell Wilson as the Broncos’ starting quarterback, but Surtain wants to get the better of him at times too. He did it during OTAs on Tuesday as Surtain picked Wilson off for a touchdown on the first play of practice. Several reporters for Denver saw the play and took to Twitter to detail what happened.

Surtain won SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Unanimous All-American, and first-team All-SEC honors in 2020. As a former five-star in the 2018 class, Surtain won a College Football Playoff National Championship and three SEC Championships.
He is ready to become one of the best young cornerbacks in the league.
