The SEC Meetings are over for head coaches, but something interesting happened in Destin, Fla.
As much as people wanted to talk more about the Nick Saban-Jimbo Fisher situation, both coaches are ready to move on and allow the matchup on Saturday, Oct. 8 to do the talking. According to an article from Trey Wallace of OutKick, a young LSU fan had enough of Coach Saban and Alabama beating his team. A high school junior from Louisiana snuck into the meetings and wanted a word with Saban. Wallace caught up with him and wanted to know why he got past security to get to Saban.

The fan said Saban has given him pain for 12 years, and he wants it to stop.
“January 9th to 2022, he has given me so much pain,” the fan said to Wallace. “I go to the LSU-Alabama games, I sit there in the 4th quarter, LSU is up and I think this is the year and then I just see Saban just run away with it. I am a diehard LSU fan. I build myself up on Fridays thinking this is the year we’re gonna beat him, we’re gonna beat ’em. They have the lead and then they just blow up. I just think that I can’t believe I just witnessed another Saban beatdown again.”
The young man respects Saban, but he wants to see LSU go on a nice run of beating Alabama for once.
LSU did earn a 46-41 victory over the Tide in 2019. The Tigers finished with a national championship.

Wallace spoke to Saban about what the fan wanted.
Saban said he offered him $5,000 to leave the Crimson Tide and return to LSU. He coached the Tigers from 2000 to 2004, winning a BCS National Championship in 2003. He got around security, told a SID he worked for a media company, and got his thoughts into Saban as he was eating lunch. The fan lived a dream most could only think about before he got escorted out by security and banned from the hotel. LSU fans still have a love for Saban, and this one went to the degree of offering money.
Brian Kelly, LSU’s new head coach, will host Saban and Alabama in the fall at Tiger Stadium.
