Capers is a product of Columbus High School in Miami, Florida, and he is considered one of the top linebacker prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. The Florida product saw a surge in his recruitment last month. He picked up a total of 12 offers in May with the Crimson Tide becoming the latest program to offer him on the last day of the month.
Alabama’s defensive back coach and Miami area recruiter Travaris Robinson informed Capers of his offer.
“Coach T-Rob called, and Nick Saban gave him the green light to offer me,” Capers said. “It was pretty surprising first hearing the news from coach T-Rob. I think very highly of the program, and I think they can definitely put me in the right spot to make plays and succeed.”
Capers does not have a visit to UA scheduled, but he is looking forward to getting to Tuscaloosa in the future. He told Touchdown Alabama he feels he can soak up a lot of knowledge from Nick Saban.
“He is definitely one of the best to do it in my books, and I feel i can learn a lot from him,” said Capers.
The new Alabama target is listed at 6-foot-2, and he weighs approximately 230 pounds. He made plays at inside linebacker and while rushing off the edge during the 2021 football season. Robinson told Capers he likes the speed and intensity he brings to the game upon offering him.
