Nick Saban is all business even when it’s his birthday.
During an appearance on Rodney Cooper’s podcast, “Locker Room Talk with Coop” former Alabama football player Brent Calloway shared a hilarious story about Saban receiving a birthday cake.
The team had decided to surprise him with the birthday cake in the meeting room but instead of celebration the team’s next game was on Saban’s mind.

“I remember when we was on his birthday they got him a cake and everything for his birthday man,” Calloway said to Cooper. “Brought it in there in the film room right before we get ready to do film and stuff. Everybody was excited and happy and (Saban) was like ‘I appreciate you, you know, can y’all you know get the cake out of here? We gotta go watch film. We got a big game this week. We’ll eat cake later.'”
Saban’s birthday famously falls on Oct. 31 which is right in the middle of the Crimson Tide’s regular-season play.
So it’s safe to say he won’t be taking any personal time on his special day.
