Inside look at ecstatic Lions front office after drafting Jameson Williams

It isn’t often where a franchise sees the dominos fall so perfectly in the NFL Draft, but it sure looked that way this past cycle when the Lions were able to move up and select Jameson Williams.

After picking up Michigan defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson with the second overall pick, the Lions weren’t slated to make another selection for the next several picks.

That changed when it moved up to the No. 12 pick with hopes to select the Alabama standout. But the stress levels were still at an all-time high for the front office as it watched the New Orleans Saints move one spot ahead of them and were also searching for a receiver.

But the reaction to the Saints passing on Williams was comparable to the moon landing and is now making the rounds on social media.

Williams is coming off a torn ACL which he suffered during the Crimson Tide’s loss to Georgia in the national title game. But that is clearly of no concern to the Lions for the immediate future as it believes to have its top target for years to come.
