Will Anderson and Dallas Turner draw the most conversation among Alabama’s outside linebackers.
Jeremiah Alexander, a five-star freshman, has a chance to become elite. No one is talking much about Chris Braswell, and the third-year player from Maryland could be the biggest surprise. As a former five-star in the 2020 signing class, Braswell arrived more highly regarded than Anderson. He went against Bryce Young in high school and sacked the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner a few times. Braswell has performed well in spring practices, but he’s not gotten an opportunity to show his skills during the season.
Coach Nick Saban highlighted him as a player Alabama needs to get on the field more.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder recorded 13 tackles, a tackle for loss, two quarterback hurries, and a blocked punt last year. Braswell has earned Saban’s trust with the work he’s put in, and Crimson Tide fans want to see him. During Monday’s episode of In My Own Words, Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed why Alabama fans need to get excited about Braswell.
His time to be impactful has arrived.
