Alabama football’s four-star offensive lineman target, Wilkin Formby is set to announce his college decision Monday at 7 p.m. CST from Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa.
Formby is rated as a four-star recruit, and he is considered a top tackle prospect. He will choose between Alabama, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The Crimson Tide offered Formby in January during an unofficial visit. He told Touchdown Alabama he grew up cheering for the Tide after he received his offer from Alabama.
“It is definitely special because it is from my hometown, and I grew up being a fan of Alabama,” Formby said. “They are a top program.”
Formby visited Alabama several times during the spring. The Tuscaloosa native would often go over to the University of Alabama on unplanned trips, which allowed him to continue building his relationship with Alabama’s coaching staff. His strong relationship with Alabama is what led him to officially visit earlier this month.
Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Tennessee also hosted Formby for an official visit.
The Northridge product has a prototypical frame for an offensive tackle prospect at 6-foot-8 and approximately 300 pounds. He has great footwork and carries his weight well. He also possesses impressive strength.
