Alabama’s strength coach David Ballou knows a monster lift when he sees one and what he saw from redshirt sophomore Chris Braswell was too good not to share.
Ballou raved about Braswell’s latest achievement in the weight room came on the squat rack with Ballou describing his performance as “one of the more impressive things” he’s ever seen.
Heavy day in the squat rack today. Witnessed one of the more impressive things I’ve ever seen in training on @Chrisbras410 last set. First guy we’ve ever seen hit 4,000 plus watts in this exercise. Incredibly explosive movement. Great day of training today in T-Town. pic.twitter.com/u6ddgZELgs

Alabama has had great success since Ballou arrived at the program back in 2020 along with Matt Rhea (Saints) where the two worked together in reshaping the strength and conditioning program.
Since arriving head coach Nick Saban has raved about the new approach brought to the Crimson Tide that stresses injury prevention. Despite taking better care of the players the team clearly isn’t missing out on continuing to build strength throughout the roster which was demonstrated by Braswell on Friday.
